Broom Hunnewell Nordmann Fir
Abies nordmanniana 'Broom Hunnewell'
Nordmann Fir ‘Broom Hunnewell’ is a dwarf, flattened globose selection of Nordmann Fir with exceptionally dense branching and needles. Foliage is dark green in color with silvery undersides. With age, mature plants develop a lead shoot and become squatly conical, but continue to be very tight and dense. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen measure 25 cm tall and 45 cm wide, an annual growth rate of 2.5-5 cm.
The place is semi-shaded. The soil is fertile, moist, but without stagnation of water. They look great in forest parks, in single or alley plantings.
