Stiff Bottlebrush

A small evergreen tree or shrub growing to 0.5 to 15 meters high. The leaves are narrow, hard, leathery, alternate, grayish-green. It blooms all year round, but most abundantly in spring and summer. Small flowers are collected at the ends of branches, in dense cylindrical tips 5-12 cm long and 3-6 cm wide, and the tip ends with a leafy shoot.

Full sun lover. Easily grown in acidic, moist, well-drained soils in full sun to light shade. Grow in a sheltered position. Drought tolerant but performs best with regular irrigation.

Owing to Callistemon air quality in the room increases. This helps to avoid colds.
