Varella Mountain Pine is an original, dwarf, decorative form with a spherical compact dense crown. The height of an adult tree is 1-1.5 m, the width is 1.2 m. In 10 years the height is 0.7 m, the spread is 0.5 m. Annual growth is up to 10 cm. The needles are elongated, dark green, slightly twisted, 8 -10 cm long. Slow growing.
Full sun lover. It is undemanding to soils. Prefers fresh, moist, well-drained soils. It withstands drought and lack of watering.
