Beauty of Moscow Lilac is a deciduous, ornamental shrub with a spreading rounded crown. Fast growing. The annual growth is 20-30 cm. The leaves are heart-shaped with a pointed end, smooth, dark green, up to 12 cm long. The shoots are smooth, yellowish-gray. The buds are lilac-purple. The flowers are large, 2.5 cm in diameter, pinkish-white with a pearly hue, fragrant. Flowering time is May-June.
It is undemanding to soils. Grows well in well-drained, moderately moist, slightly acidic to slightly alkaline, loamy soils. It is a moisture-loving plant.
