Carsten's Dwarf Mountain Pine is а dwarf coniferous shrub up to 1m in height and 1 m in width.
The crown is dense, compact, spherical, and later pillow-shaped. Slowly growing. The needles are short, dense. In summer and spring the pine needles is light green, and in winter it becomes golden-yellow. The cones are small, dark brown.
A full sun lover, but can grow in partial shadow. Prefers any drained soil. It tolerates drought. Frost-hardy.
