Cupressocyparis leylandii 'Blue Jeans'
Cupressocyparis is a coniferous, evergreen, medium-tall, slender, conical, fast-growing tree with a dense, symmetrical crown. It reaches up to 4-5 m in height and 1-2 m in width. Annual growth 40-50 cm. The bark is reddish-brown or gray-brown, smooth. The needles are scaly, dense and greenish with a bluish tint. The branches are large and thick.
Full sun lover. The plant is not particularly demanding on soils. Can grow in both acidic and alkaline, wet and dry soils. Grows well in fresh, nutrient-poor soil. Poorly tolerates compacted and carbonate soils. Frost-hardy.
