Lawson Cypress "Ellwoodii"
Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Ellwoodii’
Lawson Cypress "Elwoodii" grows up to 3 m, width 1-1.2 m. Annual growth is 4-6 cm. It can grow by 10 cm under favorable climatic conditions. The shape is correct, cone-shaped. The branches are not long and look exclusively upwards. The slightly wavy ends of the shoots give a special charm to the general appearance. The needles are bright blue.
Not demanding of light. But in significant shading the cypress is strongly stretched and loses its shape. In winter the needles turn green in low light. Grows in light, well-drained soils. Does not tolerate stagnant water.
