The branches are strongly branched, directed in different directions. The needles are small, scaly, dense, green-blue. The crown is cushion-shaped, spreading.
Full sun lover. Tolerates some shade. Prefers any soil, relatively fertile, well-drained, sufficiently moist soil. Frost-hardy.
