Pinus nigra 'Helga'
Helga Black Pine is a slow growing, dwarf pine with a spherical shape. In 10 years the height of plant is 0.9-1.5 m. Annual growth is 10-15 cm. The crown is very dense. The stems are thick, stiff, erect. The needles are collected in two bunches.They are needle-shaped, soft, dark green, up to 10 cm long.
Sun lover, tolerates partial shade. It is undemanding to soils. The plant grows best in slightly alkaline, dry, sandy, loamy soils. Frost-hardy.
