Schoon’s Bonsai Japanese White Pine is a dwarf pine with spirally twisted needles. The maximum height of the plant is 4-5 m. The needles are small. The outside of the needles is blue-green, the inner side is from light gray-blue to gray-emerald. The crown is broadly ovate. The branches are arranged horizontally. The bark is dark purple-brown to grey-brown, flaky. The fruits are cone-shaped, ovoid, dark gray to red-brown.
Light-loving plant. Prefers dry or moderately moist and moderately acidic sandy soils.
