The height of plant is 6-8 m and 3-4 m in spread. The young pine has a columnar crown. It takes on a wider shape over the years. Fast growing tree. Young shoots are cream colored, then change to bluish-gray. The tips of the needles remain noticeably light even in winter.

Full sun lover. It grows well on the poorest sandy soils and easily masters the most acidic soils. Frost-hardy.
