Picea omorika 'Karel'
Karel Serbian Spruce is a small dwarf coniferous shrub with a spherical or cushion-shaped crown. Slow growing. The height of plant is 80 cm and the spread is 120 cm. The annual growth is 3-5 cm. In 10 years the height and width not more than 0.75 m. The needles are flat, shiny, dense. They are dark green on top and ash-green on the bottom.
Prefers loamy soils with an acidic reaction. Moisture-loving plant. Full sun lover, but grows well in light shade. Frost-hardy. Resistant to urban conditions, tolerates air pollution and smoke.
