Picea sitchensis 'Silberzwerg'
Silver Dwarf Sitka Spruce dwarf, evergreen coniferous plant. Name of this spruce fully characterizes the delightful color of the needles and the slow growth of the plant. This spruce is one of the brightest silver-blue firs. The needles are very dense, dark green above and silver-blue below, which creates an interesting color effect. The height of the plant is not more than 1 m, the diameter is about the same. The crown is dense, spherical. Cones are large, decorative, light brown.
Shade-tolerant, but it is preferable to choose a sunny place so that the needles do not lose their decorative effect. It prefers slightly acidic, fertile, with moderate soil moisture. It does not tolerate stagnation of water. Prefers humid air. Frost-hardy.
