Weymouth Pine or Eastern White Pine is a large evergreen coniferous tree up to 30-60 m in height. In 30 years it grows up to 20 m. At first the crown is cone-shaped, then it becomes rounded. The young bark is light gray. Over time it darkens, acquires a purple hue. The needles of the Weymouth Pine are straight, soft, flexible and long, up to 10 cm. They are bluish-green or dark green. Cones are brown or pale brown, narrow cylindrical, up to 20 cm long. Flowering in April - May. They ripen in September in second year.
Full sun lover. Undemanding on the soil, but it is better to avoid saline soils. Frost-hardy.
