Lagerstroеmia indica is a well-branched upright shrub. The plant reaches up to 1.2-1.5 m in height. The bark is light brown. Large oval-shaped leaves are painted in two shades of green - lighter on top and darker below. The flowers are white and resemble berries.

Full sun lover. Lagerstromia tolerates drought and heat. Does not require special care. Lagerstromia does not like highly concentrated fertilizers. Too much fertilizer can stop flowering.
