Magnolia loebneri 'Wild cat'
Magnolia loebneri 'Wild Cat' is a broad, dense, rounded shrub or low tree. Grows up to 5 meters in height. After 10 years the height of plant reaches up to 3.5 m. The flowers are large, up to 25 cm in diameter, terry, white. It blooms profusely in April, before the leaves arise. Flowering is abundant, lasts 6 weeks. The flowers resemble hybrid tea roses in the buds. They become like peonies, when fully bloom. The leaves are dark green, drooping down.
Full sun lover. Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Frost-hardy.
