NewJune Snow Japanese Snowbell is a deciduous tree or shrub. The crown is quite compact, elongated, vertically growing. Slow growing. Annual growth is 25-30 cm. Young shoots are yellow-green. The full grown shoots are brownish-purple-gray. The leaves are elliptical, glossy, finely serrated, 5-10 cm long. The flowers are white, fragrant, bell-shaped with 5 petals. Flowering in June-July. Fruits are greenish-brown. They often remain on the branches until late autumn.
Sun lover. Tolerates light shade. Prefers well-drained, nutritious, fresh, fertile, loamy soils. The plant does not tolerate stagnation of water. Frost-resistant.
