Crimson Sentry Norway Maple is slow-growing, decorative, deciduous tree with compact columnar crown up to 10 m in height and up to 3 m in spread.
The leaves are not large, dark purple with five sharp lobes. The leaves stays purple during spring and summer then turning to tones of purple to golden-brown in autumn. In the shade turn green. It blooms in May. The flowers are yellowish-green, fragrant and very attractive. Fruits are red lionfish.
This tree should only be grown in full sunlight. It prefers to grow in average humidity. Frost-hardy.
