Garnet Japanese Maple is deciduous shrub or small tree that typically grows to 4 m in height and 2 m in width.
It has a spreading crown.The leaves are dark red. Small reddish-purple flowers in umbels bloom in April-May followed by winged samaras in pairs which ripen in September-October. Growth requires sunny spot and moist soil. The plant should be protected from sun rays. Frost-hardy.
