Maple is small deciduous tree with a dense, compact, rounded head. The crown retains a formal globe shape without requiring pruning. The plant will reach 7 m in height. Small lime green flowers in upright corymbs appear in spring as the leaves emerge.
The plant prefers to thrive in moist but well drained soil. It prefers either full sun or partial shade. Frost-hardy.
