Cornus kousa 'Milky Way'
Milky Way Dogwood is a spreading slow-growing shrub up to 3-5 m height. Leaves are green, 8-12 cm long, orange-red in autumn. Flowers are creamy white up to 11 cm in diameter, turn pink over time. Blooms in May and June, very abundant. The fruits are spherical - oval, red, resembling raspberries. They are edible.
Full sun lover, but tolerates partial shade. Prefers fertile humus soils. Does not tolerate soil liming and stagnation of water. Frost-hardy up to - 25C.
