Soleil d`Or Firethorn

Soleil d`Or Firethorn is a wide-growing, upright shrub with ornamental spiny shoots. It grows up to 1.5 m. Fast growing. The leaves are lanceolate, green, shiny, leathery. They do not fall off in mild winters, but in frosty ones the leaves dry up and fall off. The flowers are white. They appear in May. The berries are round, bright yellow.

Prefers sunny or partial shaded, sheltered locations. Undemanding to soils, perfectly tolerates urban conditions. Frost-hardy.
