Tamarix ramosissima
NewTamarisk is a deciduous wide shrub with long, hanging down shoots. The plant grows up to 2-3 m in height and width. It grows intensively at a young age. The bark is brown. Young shoots are green in summer, yellow-brown in winter. The leaves consist of thin, oval-shaped scales. They are gray-green in summer and bright yellow in autumn. Flowering from June-July to September.
It is a light-loving plant. It is recommended to plant in well-drained soils. Tolerates all types of soil, from very dry poor to damp, acidic to alkaline. Drought and wind tolerant. Frost-hardy.
