NewTamarix tetrandra is a large shrub with brownish-red, curved arch branches. The height of a plant is 3 m. The annual growth is 40 cm. The leaves are gray-green, small, scaly, up to 0.5 cm long. The light pink flowers have four petals collecting in narrow inflorescences. Blooms in April - May.
Full sun lover. Grows well in dry, poor, alkaline soils. Tolerates air pollution. Drought tolerant.
